Test your skills with a map and compass and navigate courses at this year’s Tirol Orienteering Festival in Wipptal Valley. Orienteering is a fun way to exercise your body & mind as you enjoy the great outdoors.
It’s a great sport for runners, joggers and walkers who want to improve their navigation skills or for anyone who loves the outdoors. It does not matter how young, old or fit you are, as you can run, walk or jog the course and progress at your own pace. The aim of orienteering is to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time. The 2021 event is hosting four exhilarating race days in scenic Wipptal Valley, including a Night Race and a Sprint. The Orienteering Festival will be held from October 23 to 26, 2021. The event is suitable for all abilities, and no experience is required to attend. There will be ten age-based competition divisions. Optional training sessions are offered between October 21 and 26, 2021.
