Strongly connected to the town of Hall and its people, the Sprachsalz Festival features local, national and international authors, writers and audiences each year – in 2021, Sprachsalz is a digital, interactive festival.
At the centre of local, national and international debate, the Festival features some of the most intelligent, creative, and cutting edge thinkers of today. The Festival is strongly connected to the town of Hall and its people and takes place over three days. In its 19th year, the Festival is again impacted by the Coronavirus Pandemic and will go digital. After all, some 8,500 visitors followed the festival’s live streams in the year 2020.
All 2021 events and panel talks will be held online and live broadcast to YouTube. American novelist, screenwriter, columnist and short story writer Michael Chabon (who received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay”) will appear together with his partner, novelist and screenwriter Ayelet Waldman. Moreover, this year’s lineup includes US-author Scott McClanahan and Italian writer Raffaella Romagnolo.
A Public Reading is scheduled at Park Hotel Hall (and will be dependent on current local status and any additional measures put in place by the event organizer).
