Another exciting ski season begins December 6, 2019 when St. Jakob opens for the 2019-2020 season. No one kicks off the season like this wonderful ski center in Defereggental Valley Ski Resort as they combine it with Advent season festivities. Visitors can browse the Christmas Market in the village, with lovely stalls selling fine crafts and seasonal specialties on December 6 and 7, 2019 by 3:00pm. On Saturday, December 7, 2019, the huge “Music'n'Snow” Winter Opening Music Festival starts the season in style, featuring a live act at Zischhitte at 6:00pm. A crowd pleaser as well is DJ Mauro who will turn the tables at “Kuhstall” from Friday to Sunday at 3:00pm. Live acts are scheduled at on-mountain huts throughout the ski resort on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 1:00pm.
German ski star Dominik Stehle will sign autographs on Saturday. Those interested in the latest winter sports apparel are recommended to visit the fashion show of Sport Passler sports store on December 7, 2019 at 7:00pm.
