Due to tremendous success, the theater piece “Märzengrund” that was specifically written for the 2016 Festival by Tirolean author Felix Mitterer will be staged again at the 2017 Festival in Zillertal Valley.
Based upon a true story, “Märzengrund” tells the life of a Zillertal Valley hermit: A local farmer’s son, who went into the wilderness at an early age, built a cabin high in the mountains in a remote place called Märzengrund, where he lived alone for forty years. Tickets are now available online. The 2017 Festival is rounded out by guest performances and cooperation with other regional bands and theater organizations.
