Harschbichl Peak is the ideal vantage point from which to admire the summer solstice fires lit in the Kitzbühel Alps. If the weather is clear, you’ll have wonderful views of hundreds of fires.
Every year, the peaks and summits in the environs of St. Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf, Kirchdorf and Erpfendorf are set ablaze for the summer solstice. The best way to admire this unique and spectacular display is from above, so why not hop on the St. Johann Gondola that whisks visitors to the top of Harschbichl Mountain. This vantage point at an elevation of 1,604 meters offers unrivalled panoramic views of the fires lighting up the jagged peaks of Wilder Kaiser Range, the lofty Lofer and Leogang Steinberge Mountains and iconic Kitzbühel Horn Peak.
Harschbichlbahn Gondolas will be in operation until 9:00pm. Visitors can ride the gondola down back to the valley until midnight.
