Schlitters swimming lake

Located at the entrance to the Zillertal Valley, the Badesee Schlitters is a beautiful swimming lake with spacious lawns for sunbathing, wooden walkways onto the water, plenty of alpine vegetation and warm temperatures in the summer months.

Just a stone’s throw from the lake are a sports centre, a beach volleyball court and a café with a large terrace overlooking the lake. Family-friendly events are held throughout the summer. The lake also has a dedicated area for non-swimmers with a small mountain stream ideal for toddlers and young children to splash around in. Another section of the lake is closed to swimmers in order to protect the beautiful water lilies which grow in among the thick reeds beds.
