Trail description

The Mutzkopfbahn two-man chairlift in Nauders transports riders up onto the mountain. Alternatively, you can ride up along the forest road. The ascent of roughly 400 vertical metres takes about one hour.

The start of the trail is clearly marked. Follow the signs (including one on a wooden church spire) to the start and into the forest. After 50 vertical metres of fun you reach a crossroads where you can either stay on the Kreuzmoos Trail or turn off onto the Gerry Tail (S2).

The Kreuzmoos Trail ends after around 1,500 metres of top trailririding when it reaches the tarmac road near the Riatschhof building. Take the road back to the bottom of the chairlift.

Those who want even more downhill action can follow the signs left to the Green Trail (S2). After a short, slightly uphill transfer riders reach the start of the trail. The final few vertical metres down to the road lead through a thick forest with rocky terrain which is steep in places.

Another option for getting back to the Mutzkopfbahn is the Family Trail (S1). Follow the tarmac road to the Riatschhof, where the trail starts. The first few vertical metres are full of turns through a beautiful meadow. Down at the bottom follow the flowy trail back to the bottom of the chairlift.

The Kreuzmoos Trail is part of the 3-Länder Enduro Trails. This is a network of trails in Austria, Italy and Switzerland near the Reschenpass. All in all there are 4 cable cars and 21 trails. For more information on the 3-Länder-Enduro-Trails visit www.nauders.com.

Tip! The 3 Countries Summercard Gold Bike is the ideal ticket for trailriding in Austria, Italy and Switzerland. It can be bought from all tourist offices in the region.
