Piste tours in the Muttereralm ski resort

The ski tours in the Muttereralm are perfect for beginners, though more experienced ski tourers will also find options for them - especially in the evenings.

Mutterer Alm (intermediate)

Thanks to its proximity to Innsbruck, the regional capital of Tirol, this is a ski tour which is particularly popular with residents of the city. It begins at the bottom of the Muttereralmbahn cable car in Mutters and leads 670 vertical metres past the Mutterer Alm hut at 1,600 metres (food and drink served) to the top of the Pfriemesköpfl chairlift at 1,800 metres. The final section is the steepest.

  • Parking: parking at the bottom of the Muttereralmbahn cable car, Mutters
  • Arriving by bus: (free ski bus): L3 (Innsbruck – Muttereralm-Bergbahnen) and L3 (Mutters – Axamer Lizum), winter timetable according to operating times of the Muttereralm ski resort
  • Arriving by tram:route STB/Stubaitalbahn (get off at Nockhofweg)
  • Walking time: 1.5 hours
  • Distance: 6.1km
  • Vertical ascent: 670 metres
  • Huts along the way: Mutterer Alm
