Ehrwalder Alm Toboggan Run

The village of Ehrwald lies an altitude of more than 1000m. The ascent on foot starts at the bottom station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn cable car, while those wishing to take it easy can hop on the cable car itself and ride to the top. The run leads along a forest trail, though it is not an official toboggan run. The first and the last section of the run are flat, while the rest of the run is fast and twisty. On Tuesdays and Fridays there is night tobogganing on the floodlit run until 23.45. You have several options to stop for a drink and a snack: the Tirolerhaus, Gasthof Ehrwalder Alm, Ganghofer Hütte and Brent Alm mountain huts all serve both local and international dishes, with the Tirolerhaus, Ehrwalder Alm and Ganghofer Hütte also offering live music. On tobogganing nights there is also a DJ at the Brent Alm hut, the new après-ski bar directly next to the bottom of the lifts.
