Weidener Hütte Toboggan Run

The toboggan run to the Weidener Hütte alpine lodge is a mildly ascending path that is particularly suitable for families, as it involves fewer steep ascents and turns. The winter walking trail to the newly renovated Weidener Hütte starts at the Gasthof Innerst restaurant in Weerberg. Starting from the Weidener Hütte car park, the trail gently winds through the forest with eight switchback turns to tackle. This is followed by a flat stretch where there is a wonderful view of the mountains northwards from the valley in the upper part of this section. Upon arrival, you can replenish your energy with a hearty ‘mountaineer’s meal’ at the Weidener Hütte before you begin your descent to the valley on the toboggan run.
