Description

The Silvrettabahn was constructed in summer 1998. It boasts a vertical rise of 961 m, a route distance of 3.938 m and a maximum capacity of up to 3.440 persons/hour. The middle station is located at 1.683 m above sea level.

Its 24-passenger bicable ropeway design (funitel system) facilitates safe operation even at wind speeds of 100 km/h. 63 gondolas run from Ischgl to Idalp with a maximum line speed of up to 6 m/s.

The transport system has a total of 23 pillars with a height of up to 23 m. 8 motors with a total capacity of 3.200 kW (4.350 PS) are required for the operation of the Silvrettabahn.
