Bergeralm ski resort

Ski resort open

Open lifts 5/7

Family-friendly yet challenging enough for experienced skiers, the Bergeralm ski resort above Steinach am Brenner is the proof that good things really do come in small packages. This resort close to the Austrian-Italian border is also known as a hotspot for snowkiting.

Visitors to the Bergeralm resort near Steinach am Brenner can look forward not only to excellent skiing and snowboarding but also fantastic views of the mountains which dominate the Wipptal Valley connecting Austria and Italy. The resort can be reached quickly and easily from Innsbruck via the motorway running north-south and boasts slopes between 1,000m and 2,000m, so from late November until early April good snow conditions are guaranteed. The pistes themselves, which have been inspected and certified by the local government, have won several awards and cater for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Easy beginners' slopes can be found towards the top of the resort, near the Hochsonnlift, while advanced and expert skiers will find plenty of red and black pistes, including one mogul slope. For children there is the practice area, a children's funpark and a children's skicross course. Snowkiters can often be seen racing down the slopes near the Nösslachjoch ridge.
