Attraction Benedictine Abbey Marienberg (I)

The monastery itself is not open to the public, only the museum (entrance fee) and the monastery church.

Description

The ground floor houses the museum, which opened in 2007. A film and various objects give an insight into the everyday life behind the monastery walls.

Some Wilhelminian artworks will be shown to the public for the first time. Short texts and matching objects point to important events in the course of 900 years of history. The Romanesque frescoes of the crypt of Marienberg can be seen in the film. (Text: www.marienberg.it)
