The special thing about the return of the cows is that it is timed so that they enter the village around dusk. The sight of the cows with their colourful headdresses marching through the streets as the sun goes down is truly special.

We recommend because:

it is a truly touching sight to see the cows with their colourful headdresses and loud bells return back down into the valley after a summer spent grazing on the high pastures. The whole village comes out to greet them. Indeed, the celebrations begin before the arrival of the cows with live brass band music in the morning. At the end of the day one lucky member of the crowd selected at random gets to take home a specially crafted bell.
