From rugged heights to ‘legendary’ depths.

With great attention to detail, visitors are taken on a journey through legends, caves, mountains and mystical figures. But they also learn more about the animal inhabitants of the steep heights - the Tuxer Steinschaf - or what it means to hold the ‘Erbhof’ award. Let yourself be surprised on the tour through the old farmhouse, where films, QR codes, pictures and stories will bring you closer to the world around Tux in the past and today. There is a small reward for children after a ‘legendary’ puzzle rally. In the Mehlerhaus, which was inhabited until 1992, the beautiful old wooden parlours and the kitchen can now be visited as the centre of the former rural living culture.

In summer the Mehlerhaus is open every MONDAY and FRIDAY from 04.07. - 26.09.2025 from 13.00 to 17.00 hrs.

In winter, the Mehlerhaus is open every Friday from 13:00 - 17:00 hrs.!
