Description

Experience the mystical Engelsberg ruins in Hopfgarten in the light of the full moon. From this magical observation point, you can observe the craters, mountains and "seas" of our Earth’s personal satellite up close through a portable telescope. During this easy night hike, you will learn all kinds of interesting facts, myths and customs about the celestial body closest to our earth. Exciting insights are guaranteed!

Meeting place: tourist information office Hopfgarten, Brixentalerstrasse 41, 6361 Hopfgarten
Registration: until 4 p.m. the day before online or in the tourist information offices of the Region Hohe Salve
Equipment: sturdy shoes, warm clothes
Costs with Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: € 20,00 adults | € 15,00 children (incl. torchlight)
Costs without Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: € 30,00 adults | € 25,00 children (incl. torchlight)
Duration: approx. 2,5 hours

Difficulty: easy

Note: by 1 p.m. on the day of the event, a decision will be made on whether it will take place depending on the weather. Alternatively, there is the option of a substitute program featuring a lecture about the moon.
