This guided hike in the Zillertal Alps high mountain nature park leads to Valentine's Chapel in the rear of the Zillergrund.
Into the realm of the ibex and 3,000 m
Our tour starts in Bärenbad and leads us directly to the "King of the Mountains". In the Steinbock.Welten we learn more about the exciting history of these fascinating animals, but we can also observe real ibex in the enclosure. In the wild in the Zillertal Alps there is currently a population of around 80-90 animals. Then we hike past the Zillergründl reservoir to the picturesque high mountain chapel (2,275 m), which is dedicated to Saint Valentine. As a reward for the steep ascent, a wonderful view of the wild, glaciated mountains of the Reichenspitz group awaits us. After a stop and refreshment at the Gasthaus Adlerblick, we take the public bus back to Mayrhofen from the Zillergründl warehouse.
