Walk to the Waterfall in Hintertux

The Tux waterfalls tumble foaming into the valley: rock cauldrons, natural rock bridges, caves, gorges and the protected waterfall leave us amazed and calm! With a view of the beautiful Kessel Falls, we start our “Nature Watch Tour” up to the screw waterfall. On a narrow path through the rustic forest and arrive at the so-called “Walfi schmaul”, a split block of stone in the shape of a fish's mouth, which has the shape of a fish's mouth. The highlights of the hike are the imposing gorge and the beautiful basin on Waldeben. Waldeben. From there, we make a leisurely ascent back to the valley station of the Gletscherbahnen down to Hintertux.

Meeting point: 9.35 a.m. - Cairn at the cash deks of the Gletscherbahn
Duration: approx. 3-4 hrs, 2,5 hrs. of which spent walking
Characteristics: short walk with one steep section with approx. 260 m in altitude difference
Cost: € 15,00 (free for guests of Nature park partner businesses)
Refreshments: several restaurants in Hintertux (after the tour)
