Description

The start of this beautiful route is in the Zirbenwald. The winter hiking trail leads with a moderate ascent past the Rotmoos waterfall to the Schönwieshütte.

Attention! The snowshoe trail is not tracked. We recommend this route only with snowshoes or poles and spikes/crampons.


Getting here

  • Arrival by public transport

    Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal railway station. The final stop and exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly continue by public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination.

  • Parking

    Public parking areas are located at the entrance to the village and at the valley station of the Wildspitze double chairlift.
