The family-friendly ski area of Fendels is about as quiet and relaxed as resorts get, though it still has plenty of pistes for intermediate and expert skiers. The resort's lift pass can also be used on the nearby Kaunertal Glacier.
"Good things come in small packages." There are few resorts where this saying applies more than in Fendels, a family-friendly ski area in the Upper Inn Valley near the intersection between the Inn Valley and the Kaunertal Valley. Its north-facing pistes up to an altitude of 2,200 metres guarantee snowsure conditions throughout the season. Highlights include forest-lined pistes and powder descents for all abilities, including two black runs. The lifts and beginners' area can be easily reached on foot from the village. "Bibi's Kinderland" is a meeting point for parents with children and features a conveyor belt lift, a fun slalom course and a draglift. On Thursday evenings one slope is floodlit for night skiing. And even if you ever do get bored of the skiing in Fendels, the resort's lift pass is also valid on the nearby Kaunertal Glacier.
