Tirol's Top Regions for Winter Holidays Without Skis

Skiing is by no means the only way to explore the snowy mountains of Tirol – 17 regions have placed their focus on environmentally sustainable holidays in the heart of nature.

There is so much to discover away from the pistes. Outdoor enthusiasts, couples and those wishing to simply get away from it all will find exactly what they are looking for in the Winter Magic Regions. Among the most popular activities is snowshoe hiking in beautiful mountains and forests. It couldn’t be easier: strap on your snowshoes, pick up your poles and head out into an enchanting landscape of snowy meadows, frozen lakes and babbling streams. Tirol is also home to a large number of prepared winter hiking trails taking visitors from nearby towns and villages up to beautiful vantage points and cosy mountain huts.
