Ausstellung Jörg Döring
Over four decades, Jörg Döring has developed an independent, vibrant visual language with original references and perspectives on the complex and complicated world of everyday life. Since the mid-1990s, Döring has supplemented his paintings with the technique of serigraphy, which has become a focal point of his extensive oeuvre in recent years. Since 2010, he has devoted himself intensively to collage work. This creative process has resulted in a multi-layered mixture of material, technique, reflection, and ambiguity. In the purest Pop Art style, the artist applies his motifs to painted canvases using screen printing. Each copy is individually processed before and after printing, resulting in numerous color variations within the edition, which gives each copy the character of a unique piece.
Jörg Döring lives and works in Düsseldorf. His artistic work has been shown in over 250 exhibitions in Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Zurich, Luxembourg, Stockholm, Basel, Paris, New Delhi, Los Angeles, and Miami, among other places.
