With exquisite sounds and a reflective atmosphere, the Lienz Symphony Orchestra under the musical direction of Gerald Mair invites you to the traditional Christmas concert. On 20th December 2025, in the city hall of Lienz and on 21st December in the Parish Church of Pfalzen, the audience can expect a varied performance full of Christmas emotion and musical brilliance.

Together with the mixed choir of Pfalzen and the young tenor Paco Simić, works by Joseph Haydn, Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, John Rutter, and Georg Friedrich Händel will be performed. The program ranges from Haydn’s vocal work “Te Deum” to Schubert’s “Ave Maria” and the festive “Joy to the World,” spanning a bridge from baroque festivity to modern tonal colors.

The concert also continues a musical friendship: After the joint Christmas project in 2022, the orchestra and choir come together once again to musically connect the Advent season in both regions.
