Minimalism and Club Energy
The bassist and composer Clemens Rofner presents a new version of CLERQ: What began as a conceptual studio project has developed into a high-energy quartet that bridges structured minimalism and club energy. The music is the direct consequence of years of exploring various musical worlds. Rofner's experience as a sideman – shaped by the intimacy of chamber music, the rhythmic complexity of minimal music, and the essential harmonics of alternative pop – serves as a blueprint. CLERQ is not a stylistic fusion, but a distillation: Live, the ensemble offers a performance that is both an immediate physical experience and a calculated musical statement.
