One of the most exciting endurance events in Tyrol is celebrating its premiere at Patscherkofel. This special skimo event is all about accumulating vertical meters: With touring skis, participants will make as many ascents on Patscherkofel as needed to reach the target of 8,848 vertical meters – the height of Mount Everest. Everesting Patscherkofel is aimed at ambitious skiers who wish to demonstrate their physical and mental strength.

On March 20–21, 2026, a new sports format will celebrate its premiere at Patscherkofel – one of the most exciting endurance events in Tyrol.
This special skimo event focuses on collecting vertical meters: using touring skis, participants will complete as many ascents as needed to reach the goal of 8,848 meters of elevation – the height of Mount Everest. The event offers several categories, from quarter to full distance. Each ascent covers about 950 vertical meters from the valley station to the mountain station of the Patscherkofel cable car – optionally via different ski touring routes, as well as the supervised Olympic route.
Everesting Patscherkofel is aimed at ambitious ski tourers looking to prove their physical and mental strength.
