Fisser Blochziehen
Every four years, Fiss transforms into a stage for one of the most impressive Tyrolean folklore plays: the Fisser Blochziehen. Around 60 masked figures – ranging from Mohrelen, Schallnern and witches to the bear and the "Schwoaftuifl" – pull the mighty Bloch tree through the village. This ancient carnival spectacle symbolizes the struggle of spring against winter and captivates both locals and guests alike.
At the end, the Bloch tree is auctioned off at the village square "Fonnes".
Program:
