Safety Shredders – Freeride Event for Kids

Location: Stubai Glacier

Promoting the next generation in the freeride area is the focus of Safety Shredders. The event is aimed at children and teenagers aged 10–16 from the Innsbruck area and surroundings.

Under the guidance of mountain and ski guides, athletes, and content creators, the kids learn all the important aspects of safe riding in the backcountry in a hands-on way:

• Age-appropriate avalanche course and safety briefing

• Shredding in the park and alpine experience with professionals

• Behind-the-scenes insights from photographers and filmmakers

• Joint day conclusion with movie night

Thanks to our sponsors such as Armada, Arc'teryx, Pieps, and Poc as well as the support of the ski areas Kühtai, Hochfügen, and Stubai Glacier, the participants can enjoy an exciting weekend including lift tickets and goodies – all for a small budget for the parents.

Goal: The kids learn how to have fun in the backcountry with the right preparations while being safe on the go.
