Fest Concert of the Regional Youth Choirs of Tyrol and Thuringia

Two choirs, two musical styles, one shared passion: The Tyrolean Regional Youth Choir and the Thuringian Regional Youth Choir unite their voices for a festive concert that makes choral music across epochs and borders come alive – also part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the Tyrolean Regional Youth Choir.

Two choirs, one common sound
At the heart of the evening is the meeting of young singers from Tyrol and Thuringia. Under the direction of Agnes Schnabl and Nikolaas Schmeer, the two regional youth choirs present a diverse program that takes the audience through different epochs and sound worlds: Works by Tomás Luis de Victoria, Thomas Morley, and Heinrich Schütz meet the romantic musical language of Edvard Grieg as well as contemporary compositions by Jonathan Dove, Kristopher Fulton, and Pärt Uusberg.

20 years of the Tyrolean Regional Youth Choir
Since 2006, the Tyrolean Regional Youth Choir has brought together young singers, promotes their vocal and musical development, and creates space for intense community experiences. Together with the Thuringian Regional Youth Choir, the 20th anniversary is now celebrated with this festive concert.
