On Saturday, 03.10.2026, the concert “AUTUMN: TIMELESS Sounds in St. Nikolaus” will take place in the Romanesque St. Nikolaus Church Matrei i. O.(Ganz). The event is organized by the Men's Choir Matrei in East Tyrol and brings together several renowned music groups from the region.
Participants include the MGV Matrei in Osttirol under the direction of Marco Rainer, the Matreier Women’s Singers under the direction of Barbara Mattersberger, and the saxophone ensemble Saxtett under the direction of Leonie Wibmer. The well-known local historian, author, and storyteller Peter Mattersberger will guide the program.
The concert aims to utilize the special atmosphere of the historic church to musically capture the autumn mood and offer visitors a diverse sonic experience. The combination of male choir, folk song trio, and saxophone ensemble promises a varied program with classical, modern, and folk song-related arrangements.
