Open day
The local museum Sixenhof opens the summer season with an open house day.
Visitors have the opportunity to gain insights into the lives of people in the Achental from 1880 to 1963. The May Festival of the rural youth Achenkirch will also take place around the museum, featuring a morning pint in the heated festival tent.
The Sixenhof local history museum is easily accessible by bus and boat. Take the regional bus to Achenkirch (lines 4080 or 390) and get off at the bus stop Achenkirch Fischerwirt. The Achensee ships dock at the Scholastika pier, which is about 550 metres from the museum and within easy walking distance.
