Projekttheater: Wundersame Nacht | Ein Sommertag
WONDROUS NIGHT/ A SUMMER DAY are two plays by the Polish author Slawomir Mrozek (1930 – 2013). Mrozek began as a cartoonist and author of satirical stories and became internationally successful with his plays starting in 1960.
Plot: Two salesmen are forced to spend a night together in a shabby hotel room. A suicidally inclined person is about to take action when a passerby appears and interrupts him. Thus, the starting situations of the two plays are already outlined. They are finely seasoned with black humor and surprise with unexpected twists leading to each grand finale.
