30.01.2026 – Great Matschgerer Show in the Festival Tent Fritzens from 7:00 PM
The kick-off to the regional weekend takes place on Friday, January 30, starting at 7:00 PM in the heated festival tent. At the grand "Matschgerer & Mullerschaug’n," around eight groups from Fritzens and the surrounding villages showcase their skills and delight the audience with their traditional figures and customs. This special event has long been a staple in the regional event calendar and attracts numerous visitors year after year. About 1,500 guests create an unparalleled atmosphere and celebrate the start of a weekend filled with living traditions.

31.01.2026 – Young Matschgerer Show in the Festival Tent from 1:00 PM
Saturday is dedicated to our youth. From 1:00 PM, children's groups from the region will showcase their skills in the festival tent. Ten different groups will perform and proudly carry on the tradition that has been enthusiastically passed down to them by the adults. This event is not only a striking testament to the vibrant transmission of our customs but also a clear sign that our traditions are firmly rooted in the younger generation. Around 1,000 visitors will accompany the young Matschgerer and create a fantastic atmosphere – an experience that both the children and the audience will remember for a long time.

01.02.2026 – Large Regional Parade in Fritzens and Patzen Ball in the Festival Tent
The parade, in which about 800 active participants take part – many of them from Fritzens and the surrounding villages – is the highlight of the regional weekend and forms the crowning conclusion to this weekend. The parade attracts around 5,000 visitors each year and requires careful organization. Afterwards, the Fritzens folklore group invites everyone to the traditional Patzen Ball, where the Sonnwend group will provide musical entertainment.
