It is a quiet and enchanting pleasure to be driven in a horse-drawn carriage through the winter landscape. One can hear a muted snort from the cold nostrils of the horses and a gentle stamping of their hooves. The ride goes past snow-covered trees, with the white peaks of the surrounding mountains always in view. With a blanket on one’s lap and a hood on one’s head, a carriage ride is pure relaxation.
