Fabric for the Senses – Materialized Ideas
In mid-April, a space opens up in the Gallery at the Schallerhaus where textiles are allowed to speak – quietly, multilayered, tangible. With her first exhibition “Fabric for the Senses” , Marina Hatzl invites you to not only view materials but to experience them as carriers of thoughts, memories, and sensations. Fabrics have accompanied her since early childhood. The need to create sharpened her perception of surfaces, tensions, and transitions. Even though her path initially led her into other creative fields, textiles remained ever-present – as a language, as a means of making ideas visible.
Today, Marina Hatzl combines her work as a decorator with an artistic practice that combines materials, distorts structures, and materializes thoughts. Her works oscillate between order and intuition, between planning and free play. They invite you to feel with your eyes and think with your hands.
