Synopsis:

Maria, Agnes, and Josefine are the Golden Girls of the Abendrot retirement home. Bridge games, lighthearted banter, and recent memorial services honoring deceased residents define their daily lives. The slightly confused Agnes, the kind-hearted Maria, and Josefine, the former theater diva: they may no longer be the youngest, but they’re far from outdated.

When Bruno, a bon vivant, moves into the home, the trio of elderly ladies literally blossoms. And the new caregiver also makes their old hearts young again. One day, an unknown woman comes to visit. She is searching for her mother, who once gave her up for adoption. Now old wounds are reopened—will there be a happy ending?
