Plot:
The mayor and his town council of Hintergscheitlagglbach decide to take part in a big traditional costume parade in Vienna. To achieve a good ranking in the parade, a lot of preparation is needed. First, the mayor’s son — a staunch bachelor and notorious woman-hater — must be persuaded to appear as the groom, since a bridal couple is required to participate. To dress the villagers properly, a tailor from the city is hired. But her “elegant dressmaker’s mannequin” causes all kinds of misunderstandings and throws the quiet village life of Hintergscheitlagglbach into chaos…
