The most beautiful Kneipp facilities in Tyrol

Water is more than just a thirst quencher. Whether it's an aid to falling asleep or waking up, a natural facial toner or a circulatory kick - Sebastian Kneipp already knew how to do it: in the 19th century, he developed over a hundred different Kneipp water treatments for a wide range of ailments. Depending on your needs, the baths can refresh, soothe, stabilise or harmonise. We therefore present Tyrol's most beautiful Kneipp facilities.

„There is salvation in water; it is the simplest, cheapest and, when used correctly, the safest remedy.“

The "Frauenbrunnen" Kneipp facility, which is located directly on the Gurgltal cycle path, is known for its radon-containing water. Radon is a biological, radioactive gas that is produced by the decay of uranium and can be detected everywhere, both in the earth and in the air. The high-energy alpha rays of radon are said to help with skin impurities and rheumatism in particular, as it triggers anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects in the body.

The Scharnitz Kneipp facility is located at the entrance to the Karwendel, between the Isarsteig and the Kreidegraben. An arm plunge pool and relaxation loungers invite you to regenerate and relax after a challenging hiking tour. The large treading pool is filled with stones from the Isar. The journey of the Isar stones took many millions of years: glacial movements and the surf of the primeval sea shaped their appearance. When the stones are wet, they reveal their true appearance and glow in every imaginable colour - a feast for the eyes.

The newly designed Kneipp labyrinth is located between the inn and the Kronburg monastery. The Kronburg Kneipp facility draws its water directly from its own spring. After cooling off in the Kneipp pool, you can walk barefoot through the labyrinth: walking barefoot strengthens the abdominal organs, tendons and ligaments, prevents flat feet and helps to reduce stress. A bath in the arm pool is also recommended: A cold arm bath is considered a natural stimulant and could also be described as a healthy cup of coffee.

With its "wellness area", the Salzbach Kneipp facility aims to balance body and mind. The water temperature in the Kneipp facility is below 18 degrees Celsius and is therefore ideal for treading water. Treading water stimulates the circulation, strengthens the immune system and helps with migraines. In addition to a Kneipp facility, there is also a barefoot path that trains the sense of touch and balance and strengthens the leg and foot muscles. A water play area with a water wheel and pump fountain also introduces younger guests to the element of water.
