We recommend because

Panoramic via ferrata to Seefelder Spitze (2,221 meters) with practically uninterrupted views over the high plateau, the Mieminger Kette and the Wetterstein mountains with Zugspitze. Sporty, medium-length route with difficulty level C through dolomite-like limestone. Longer, exposed steep passages, some of which have only a few footholds. Therefore rather unsuitable for children. There are several grassy ledges along the way that are suitable for a break. An emergency exit is possible roughly in the middle. Ascent to the Rosshütte possible by cable car.

Approach

For all particularly sports enthusiasts, the hike from the Rosshütte valley station is recommended, taking about 2 hours to reach the via ferrata start. A much easier option is the funicular. It runs every 15 minutes from 9.00 to 17.00 in summer. From there, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the via ferrata entry.

Descent

From the summit cross of Seefelder Spitze, the descent takes about 20 minutes along the ridge to Seefelder Joch. Enjoy impressive views of the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains along the way. On clear days, you can even see the Zugspitze in the distance. For a hearty meal, the panoramic restaurant at the Rosshütte station offers a wide menu. The last descent from Seefelder Joch is at 16:45, and from the Rosshütte station (funicular) at 17:00. Tickets for the descent can be purchased both at the mountain station at Joch and the Rosshütte station (funicular). Those who prefer to walk down can turn left on the trail towards Seefelder Joch after a short time and continue hiking down to Seefeld. For those who still want more, the "Königstour" is an option. It leads from Seefelder Joch, partly exposed, to Reither Spitze and requires surefootedness (black hiking trail). After a break at the Nördlinger Hut, you can hike to the Härmelekopf gondola and return to the valley by gondola and funicular (last descent at 16:45), or descend to Reith.
