Mountainbike-Tour Bike and Hike Latschberg and Zireiner See

Beautiful round tour with a summit experience and refreshment at the mountain lake Zireiner See.

Description

The Blue Eye of Rofan, that's what people call the idyllic mountain lake Zireiner See in the Rofan mountains. This mountain lake is easily accessible with a Bike & Hike tour. A detour to the summit of Latschberg adds extra moments of happiness in the mountains!

E-Bike:

From Kramsach, a beautiful bike route leads past "Kaltwasserl" and "Herrgottstein," continuously uphill towards Bayreuther Hütte. Leave your bike directly at Bayreuther Hütte and continue on foot from here.

By e-bike, it takes about 1.5 hours for 8 km and 1030 meters of elevation gain.

Hike:

From Bayreuther Hütte, follow a trail to the Zireiner Almen. From here, a path continues upwards towards Zireiner See / Latschberg. At the first junction, turn right towards Latschberg and enjoy the view from the summit (1944 m). The route then continues a bit further east. After a few meters, hike down to Zireiner See on the left. A dip in the mountain lake is a must here. Continue the loop westward and at the fork, descend back towards Zireiner Almen. From here, follow the ascent path back to Bayreuther Hütte and then bike back down to the valley.

For the hike, plan about 2.5 hours for 7.5 km and 370 meters of elevation gain.

There are refreshment options at Bayreuther Hütte or in the valley at Liftstüberl Kramsach directly at the parking lot.
