Equipment

Mountain bike trousers, a mountain bike jersey and the right mountain bike jacket complete your MTB equipment. Depending on the season, you will need shorts or long trousers, short or long jerseys, rain jackets, wind jackets or even winter jackets. A mountain bike helmet is also necessary to protect your head from falls. What you should also not forget is a suitable pair of mountain bike goggles. They protect you from dust and dirt. They can improve your visibility in fog and you'll also need them in the sunshine. As you don't always put everything on (keyword: jacket off when pedalling uphill), you also need a good mountain bike rucksack so that everything can be carried. This should also include a first aid kit and the most necessary tools, including a spare inner tube.

Description

The car park next to the Prenten/Bockbach sawmill is the starting point of the bike tour.

The easy family tour runs along the tarmac road. At first, the route leads through shady forest to the breathtaking Krabach bridge. The first alpine meadows begin straight away and the uphill section along the old alpine settlement of Birchetsgump impresses with its idyllic location. The small lake is particularly beautiful and invites you to take a break. The last section leads through the shady forest to the Bockbacher Almwirtschaft.

Then a flat, wide forest path leads to the next stop at the "Gams Vroni".
