A tour with nice views along the ancient ‘Imperial Roman Road’ Via Claudia Augusta. Until the Fernsteinsee it is an easy family tour, after that it is getting more difficult with some pushing parts.
Follow the Via Claudia Augusta into the Gurgltal Valley and continue through the shady forest to Nassereith. The route leads through the village and to the castle arch of the Hotel Schloss Fernsteinsee, overlooking the emerald-green Fernsteinsee Lake.
Return to the campsite through the forest towards Rastland - St. Wendelin - Brunnwald - Nassereith - Gurgltal Cycle Path - Imst
Alternative: Nassereither Alm (Muthenau Alm 1,739 m) from Fernsteinsee via the Via Claudia Augusta to the Fernpasshöhe and then on to the Nassereither Alm (Muthenau Alm)
