The views from the Pletzachalm in Kramsach over Alpine pastures framed by rugged rockfaces are breath-taking.
Winter Closing
All MTB and bike routes are closed for safety reasons from 1st November until 1st April of the following year.
These routes are not cleared and many MTB routes are exposed to avalanches.Depending on snow conditions, some routes may need to remainclosed beyond 1st April. For more information and details see your local tourist office.

Start and finish are at the Sonnwendjochbergbahn car park in Kramsach. Follow the forest track uphill through the woods to the water trough. Turn left towards the Pletzachalm and stay on the steep trail leading up to the Herrgottstein. The track narrows from this point on and in a series of bends leads up to the turn off for the Pletzachalm (no food and drinks provided). After a further short uphill a winding track leads downhill to Grünsbach. At the Landgasthof Astner the route continues to the riding stables, over a bridge and then left onto a gravel road through woods to Winkl. Follow the road signs (L211) back to the start.
