Due to the acute danger of rockfall, the Steinbergrunde section between Frohnwies (St. Martin bei Lofer) and Diesbachbauer (Saalfelden) remains closed until further notice. The temporary solution next to the B311 has also been closed again. As a replacement, a ‘bike shuttle’ currently runs every 30 minutes between the ‘Weißbach Gemeindeamt’ and ‘Diesbach’ stops. The shuttle is available daily between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
From Hochfilzen, the highest point of this tour at about 1.000 m, you bike along the trail "Buchensteinwandrunde" Nr. 17 towards St. Ulrich am Pillersee. Pass the lake at the right side, continue on the trail down to the center of Waidring and take the small asphalt road towards Pass Strub.
Follow the bike trail to Lofer, St. Martin bei Lofer and Weißbach. Through the Salzburger Saalachtal you reach Lenzing. Behind the farm house "Schörhof" take the underpass and bike towards Leogang. Passing the hamlet "Hütten" you bike upward to the starting point Hochfilzen.
Along this tour you will pass about 25 sculptures built from childs together with international artists. These sculptures are in Hochfilzen, St. Ulrich a.P., Waidring, Lofer, St. Martin, Saalfelden and Leogang on or next to the bike trail.
