Mountain bike tour to the historic border triangle
Pinswang was first mentioned in a document in 1095, making it one of the oldest and most historic settlements in the entire Ausserfern region. The once strategically important importance can sometimes be seen at the border triangle, where the County of Tyrol, the Bishopric of Augsburg and the Electorate of Bavaria met at the historic boundary stone from 1785. As the legend goes, the princes of these three countries would have held a conference here, each sitting on his own territory.
The MTB tour to the Dreiländereck starts at the Pinswang municipal office or branches off from the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path and initially runs straight through the village to the edge of the forest. In several hairpin bends, the route climbs steadily and then winds its way through a sparse forest area. The last 200 meters to the vantage point on the Schwarenzberg in the border triangle can be managed on foot. A wonderful panoramic view of the Füssener basin and far beyond into the foothills of the Alps is guaranteed.
The same path leads back down into the valley.
