Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-adapted outdoor clothing is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without opportunities to stop for food, is necessary.
The hike leads from the center of Umhausen over the snow-covered meadows towards the district of Farst, which is always in sight. Turn right before the wooden bridge and continue following the "Murbach" stream gently uphill towards Murbach, from where you then have the option to choose from three winter hiking trails to Erlach. From Erlach, follow the road back to the starting point. Soak up the sun and enjoy the winter tranquility.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal railway station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel comfortably and quickly with public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination!
