Spieljoch - Arzjoch chapel - midstation - Fügen (No. 16)
Starting from the mountain station, a hiking trail leads under the gondola lift, through Alpine meadows, and along gravel trails all the way to the large reservoir and even on to the small Arzjoch mountain lake. Tip: The panoramic hammocks at the end of the lake offer wonderful views over the valley as well as the Spieljoch and Kellerjoch mountains! The trail heads downhill through idyllic forest scenery before reaching the Arzjoch chairlift station. Once there, you should follow the wide track along a brief ascent to the ski hut. Behind the hut is another beautiful forest path that features a number of hairpin bends leading down to the Spieljoch middle station and the Kohleralmhof inn. From the middle station, follow the signposts all the way to Fügen.
Alternative: Starting from the Arzjoch chair lift, you can also head straight down to the middle station along the wide gravel track.
Of course, this hike can also be completed in the opposite direction – simply begin your ascent at the Spieljoch valley station!
