Ötztal Tourism, T +43 5 72 00 400, umhausen@oetztal.com
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, wind, rain, snow, and sun protection, a hat and gloves are required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a route map, as well as sufficient provisions for routes without refreshment options, is necessary.
From the Bischoffsplatz car park in Umhausen, you walk along the wide forest road, past the Ötzi Village and birds of prey park (open only in summer), to the foot of the Stuibenfall waterfall. Here you can feel the sheer power of the water and watch this natural spectacle. Afterwards, you walk back along the same path to the starting point of the hike.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel through the entire valley to your desired destination by public transport or local taxi companies! The current bus timetable can be found at: http://fahrplan.vvt.at
