Description

Anyone spending more than just one day in Vent should not miss a visit to the Stablein panorama restaurant: This spot is one of the most beautiful in the Ötztal. It is only about 500 meters in altitude that separate the alpine pasture from the village. From the P9 junction, the wide footpath ascends in five not too steep switchbacks and cuts through open terrain above the tree line, guaranteeing unobstructed views. The climb takes 1.5 hours, and the reward is often impressive: The view of the three-thousand-meter peaks opposite, such as Ramolkogel, Firmisanschneide, and Talleitspitze, impresses again and again. Far below at the intersection of three valleys lies the small village of Vent with 150 inhabitants. A stop at the Stablein panorama restaurant crowns the excursion. The descent can be done by lift (chairlift from Stabeleinalm), on foot, or by toboggan: a 5 km long course leads through high alpine scenery back to the valley in long switchbacks.
