Proper equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, wind, rain, snow, and sun protection, hat and gloves is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a route map, as well as sufficient provisions for tours without refreshment options, is necessary.
Starting from the parking lot at the primary school, you walk through the village, past the parish church until you reach a wide forest path. Follow this path to the signposted left turn to the Umhausen valley viewpoint. On the return, you walk the same way with the option to descend into the Tumpen industrial area and back to the starting point.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly by public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination!
