Celebrities on the Hochzeiger: if you are out and about in this ski area, you can at least follow in the footsteps of ski star Benni Raich.
Right at the entrance to the Pitztal valley, the Hochzeiger family ski area welcomes its guests on the sun-drenched south-western slopes above Jerzens. The varied selection of pistes leaves nothing to be desired, regardless of the skiers' requirements and abilities. The slopes are located at an altitude of between 1,450 and 2,500 meters, which means you can expect plenty of snow from the beginning of December to mid-April.
Black piste no. 3 on the Hochzeiger is the most famous, as it is named after ski star and multiple world champion Benni Raich, who trained here as a child and during his active career. The Zirbenfall descent with a gradient of up to 80 percent is also a real hit with experienced skiers. Families, on the other hand, enjoy the numerous blue slopes, a 300-metre-long snow park where advanced skiers and children can try out their first jumps and slides, as well as entertaining Pistenbully rides. Another particularly important criterion is the extremely favorable ski pass conditions for children.
A special feature on the Hochzeiger is the piste rules trail. Here, mascot Pitzi explains the principles of the FIS rules of conduct on the slopes in a child-friendly way. In this way, the little ones learn very early on how important safety precautions are when skiing.
